Anastasia is an insolvency and banking litigation specialist, with extensive experience in contentious insolvency disputes.
Anastasia acts for various levels of stakeholders including secured lenders, insolvency practitioners (in their various capacities as liquidators, administrators and receivers), directors and shareholders, and provides advice on all aspects of the corporate and personal insolvency process.
Anastasia’s practice focuses on a wide range of commercial litigation and insolvency disputes including:
- contract disputes,
- advising insolvency practitioners and office holders on all aspects of the insolvency regime, pursuing claims on behalf of insolvent companies against former office holders, bringing and defending bankruptcy proceedings,
- enforcement action on behalf of lenders, including mortgage possession claims, and money claims,
- misrepresentation claims and
- fraud
Anastasia’s recent experience includes successfully advising the Joint Liquidators of ARY Digital (UK) Limited against its former administrator for misfeasance and breach of duty; advising a bank client in bringing a successful strike out and summary judgment application against a guarantor for breach of guarantee. Successfully defending a number of applications to set aside statutory demands on behalf of lenders.
Anastasia qualified as a solicitor in 2011 in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and in 2012 in the High Court of Australia. She joined Brecher in 2015.
