James is a Partner in Brecher’s Dispute Resolution team.
James specialises in international and domestic commercial disputes. James has experience of a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including advising clients on banking disputes, freezing injunctions (both pre-judgment and post-judgment injunctions), non-party costs orders, contempt proceedings, shareholder disputes and contractual claims.
James has always had a keen interest in contentious employment matters and has advised on senior executive exits, claims both in the Employment Tribunal and High Court on issues relating to unfair dismissal, redundancy and constructive dismissal. He was formerly part of the International Counsel group of a national firm assisting clients (including Fortune 500 companies and Payment Services providers) with their global employment needs.
He has a recently developed particular niche in data protection and cyber-crime matters, with experience of advising on the regulatory and legal issues arising from the same and their impact on businesses with particular reference to third party claims and insurance claims.
James is a member of the London Solicitors’ Litigation Association and the Financial Services Lawyers’ Association.
