Peter is a Partner at Brecher and sits in the Real Estate team.
Peter has a broad transactional real estate practice, encompassing landlord and tenant matters in the retail, office and industrial sectors, acting for both landlords and tenants and frequently for high profile institutional clients; investment acquisitions and portfolio purchases for UK-based and overseas investors, including joint ventures; development agreements, overage provisions and option and pre-emption agreements; and property and development finance matters, representing institutional lenders and specialist mezzanine funders.
Some of Peter’s recent work includes:
- Advising on the acquisition of a multi-let investment/development opportunity on a 70 acre site comprising a Grade II Listed building, 12 further buildings and ancillary accommodation including commercial office accommodation.
- Acting on the headquarters relocation of a health board to a new 50,000 sq ft development (reported in the press as “the biggest office acquisition in Wales this year”).
- Negotiating the letting of retail premises in a several hospitals to a global catering and support services organisation, including turnover rent provisions delivering “uplifted” rental payments.
Peter qualified as a solicitor in 2002, before joining Brecher in 2011. He subsequently worked for several years building up an in-house real estate function for NHS Wales, before re-joining Brecher in 2019.
